How much experience do you have?
It's tough to pinpoint because I have been surrounded by photography my entire life. I am 5 years into my business, and going on 8 of seriously practicing the craft.
Do you travel for photoshoots?
I absolutely travel! For lifestyle sessions my first 100 miles of travel is included, after that travel is typically billed at $0.50 per mile.
If you are planning to elope at a USA destination my pricing starts at $4500 - all of my travel and lodging fees are included.
How long does it take to get our photos?
Lifestyle sessions take 2-3 weeks, while elopements take 6-8
Time frames could be faster during slow season (winter) or a little slower during busy season ( spring + fall). I will always communicate any special circumstances regarding timeline if they arise.
What should we wear for our session?
You could wear a potato sack if it's what you feel your best in! We want you to be feeling comfortably yourself - confidence is key!
If you are uncomfortable or not feeling like yourself, it could show in your photos. The most important thing is that you feel great in your skin (and outfit). A few rule-of-thumb guidelines to follow are; No pin stripes, they can look distorted in photos and sometimes it's really hard to fix! No neon colors, they reflect off yours and others skin and can be tricky to edit. Try to steer clear of matchy matchy - for example, if everyone is wearing black its easy to turn into one giant blob in your photos
Where should we take our photos?
Somewhere that means something to you.
That might be your front porch, a favorite trail, or a stretch of land that you call home. Im less interested in trendy backdrops and more interested in what's true to your story.
If you're stuck, don't worry - I'll help guide you. But I'll always encourage you to think less about the perfect Pinterest location, and more about what feels like you. Because the best photos happen when you are living in a meaningful moment.
cancellations + reschedules
I am always open to working with you to get your shoot rescheduled. If you need to cancel deposits are retained.
how much is a deposit?
A 50% deposit is required at booking for all lifestyle sessions, a 25% deposit is required for OK TX AR elopements, and a 50% deposit is required for USA destination elopements.
Your deposit amount goes towards your overall session total.
when is payment due?
Lifestyle session payment is due 24 hours prior to our scheduled shoot date.
Intimate wedding/elopement payment is due at least 7 days prior to the scheduled event, and at least 90 days if travel (flights and/or overnight stay) is necessary.
will you shoot my larger wedding?
I specialize in Elopements, Micro weddings/intimate weddings. These typically range from no guests at all - up to 100 guests. If you have a wedding larger than this, please feel free to inquire! I am open to discussing your day and seeing if we are a good fit.
Do you also do videography?
I have tried my hand at videography and its just not for me, but I am happy to help you find one that would be a good fit.
I'm awkward in front of the camera, will you pose us at all?
You don't have to know what to do. I think almost everyone feels a little awkward in front of the camera - even me. I promise after the first 10 minutes we will be flowing through the moment. I'll guide and prompt when needed, and step back to observe when it matters most.
Do you post everything to social media?
While I do share my work across social media and my website (it’s how most people find me), I’m mindful about what I post. If there’s ever a photo you’d rather keep just for you, just say the word. I completely understand and will always respect your privacy.
